More on Blooker

I wrote about Julie Powell of The Julie/Julia project ( current blog) and how she beat Belle De Jour though I was glad that it was a foodie blogger who won even if it was Belle de Jour who first attracted me to Blogging :-) ... That thought would be best summed up buy this headline..

recipes or sex. Do these illustrate the bi-polar extremities of the blogsphere? Not only does this not do justice to the more important tendencies out there but it also serves to suggest standards worth emulating.

There actually are some male winners too, and Chick Lit type bloggers are more likely to win a book deal, than a Political Blog, not that only males write political blog. And this was a blog turned to a book, not a blogger writing a book like instapundit's or dailykos' . ChickLit is the keyword...
